Bremen – City on the River

The River Weser is central to Bremen and its ports. In addition, sport on and along the river reigns supreme.
Cafe Sand on the scenic riverside is a haven of tranquillity and relaxation. The site is best approached by ferry from the opposite Osterdeich Embankment, which is within a few minutes walking distance down the river – in this panoramic view flowing towards the left – of the old town and Schlachte promenade. Just minutes from the embankment, the Weser Stadium is sited up the river. The arena is home to SV Werder Bremen, the 2004 German league and cup title holder!
