Culture in all its forms can be enjoyed along Bremen’s cultural mile, situated between the trendy Viertel and the city centre. See great art in the Kunsthalle gallery, admire sculpture in the Gerhard Marcks House next door and explore design at the Wilhelm Wagenfeld House right opposite. Also in the vicinity is the celebrated Bremen Theatre, a must for fans of theatre, dance or opera.
If you’re interested in regional art and history, we highly recommend a visit to the Focke Museum, the Ludwig Roselius Museum or the Bremen section of the Übersee ethnological museum, where you can continue on a journey of discovery around the world! The Paula Modersohn-Becker Museum in Böttcherstrasse is dedicated to the renowned artist from nearby Worpswede, and also mounts one-off exhibitions.
If it’s entertainment you’re looking for, then head to one of Bremen’s numerous theatres and cabarets. From Shakespeare and maritime musicals to great spectacles and quiet tunes, there’s something for everyone.
And there’s still more to enjoy, be it music, cinema or hip pubs and bars. The many top events in Bremen are another good reason to visit.
